A symbol of hope, healing, and country, a bevy of aluminum birds soar above a two-tiered lobby, welcoming patients and families to the Intrepid Center, a renowned treatment facility for wounded warriors with brain trauma and neurological injuries. Seamlessly emerging from an undulating wave, the birds ascend through the atrium, visible from the second-floor lounge and, from the exterior at night, appear as an illuminated flight emerging from the building’s architecture.
